GLYN MAXWELL
Glyn Maxwell is from Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. His poetry has won numerous awards. Many of his plays have been staged, including Broken Journey (Hen & Chickens, Time Out Critics Choice, 1999), Anyroad (Bridewell, 2000), The Last Valentine (Almedia, 2000), The Lifeblood (British Theatre Guide’s Play of the Fringe 2004), and The Forever Waltz (New York, 2005). He has written libretti (including The Birds, staged in 2005 with I Fagiolini) travelogue and fiction. He lives in New York, where he teaches at NYU and serves as Poetry Editor of The New Republic.
